In Memory of Alpha Dawn Kness

Alpha was fond of country music and of dancing
particularly middle eastern dancing
and her favourite flower was the Iris.

Hence, we thought it would be a fitting tribute to share a
floral radiograph of Albert Richard's beautiful Iris.

The image resembles a dancer with wings if you look at it closely...

And below we've posted the lyrics from the Garth Brookes song, The Dance
... these lyrics were shared by Kristie and just seem awfully poignant at this time.

The radiograph of the Iris reveals not only the beauty of the Standards and Falls, but also reveals the contents of the
Bud and Ovules.

The Iris was Alpha's  favourite flower

The Dance
Garth Brooks
Wwritten by: Tony Arata

Looking back on the memory of
The dance we shared 'neath the stars above
For a moment all the world was right
How could I have known that you'd ever say goodbye

chorus
And now I'm glad I didn't know
The way it all would end the way it all would go
Our lives are better left to chance I could have missed the pain
But I'd of had to miss the dance

Holding you I held everything
For a moment wasn't I the king
But if I'd only known how the king would fall
Hey who's to say you know I might have changed it all

chorus
It's my life is better left to chance
I could have missed the pain but I'd of had to miss the dance
