What does the public think about the need for the Ontarians with Disabilities Act?

The Ontarians with Disabilities Act Committee is indebted to the
Lou Harris Polling Organization
, represented in Canada by
Thompson Lightstone and Company Limited
, which conducted
free of charge a public opinion survey across Canada in March of 1997
on public attitudes towards the need for legislation requiring the removal
of barriers now facing persons with disabilities and requiring the
prevention of new barriers before they are created.

Here, we provide the results of this survey as analyzed by the polling
organization, and the text of the questions which respondents were
asked to answer.
