Dear Mr. Lepofsky:

On behalf of the Ontario Liberal Caucus let me once again thank you for the work that you and your organization are doing to improve the lives of people with disabilities here in Ontario.

As you know, the Ontario Liberal Party is very supportive of the creation of an Ontarians with Disabilities Act consistent with the principles you have outlined in Making Ontario Open for People with Disabilities.

I can assure you that a Liberal Government would work together with the Ontarians with Disabilities Act Committee to develop and enact legislation based on the eleven specific principles outlined in MPP Dwight Duncan's Private Member's Resolution with respect to the Ontarians with Disabilities Act.

Our goal is to complete this work during the first three years of our mandate.

I look forward to continuing to work with you to advance the interests of persons with disabilities in Ontario and I wish you the greatest possible success in that regard.

Yours truly,

Dalton McGuinty, MPP
Leader of the Official Opposition
Leader of the Ontario Liberal Party
