Dear Mr. Lepofsky:

Thank you for your recent conespordence of May 22nd regarding an Ontarians with Disabilities Act (ODA).

As well thank you for sharing with me the information of your recently released survey. The information and results will be useful as we consult on an ODA.

Although I regret that you feel my statement was inaccurate, you did make it clear in your meeting with the Honourable Marilyn Mushinski, Minister of Cidzenship, Culture and Recreation, on June 4, 1996, that you were not interested in taking part in consultation efforts that were not directed toward the development of an ODA.

Again, let me reiterate to you our commitment on an ODA. We said we would be willing to enact an Ontarians with Disabilities Act within our first term of office, within the economic goalposts of the Common Sense Revolution. I'm sure you will agree that our government has developed a reputation for doing the things we said we would do.

I appreciate hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Michael D. Harris, MPP
